Intensive course on AI and Сybersecurity for Vietnamese students

An intensive course "Applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Network and Information Security" is being held at the Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (Vietnam) together with SPbSUT. The course participants are students of the 3rd year of the Bachelor's degree in Information Security. The intensive course is led by Acting Head of the Department of Information Security of Computer Networks, Ph.D., Associate Professor Igor Ushakov.

The program consists of lectures and laboratory workshops. The students have already completed the basics of network security and the role of AI in detecting threats, and have worked on collecting and analyzing data to identify intruders.

Students will study network attacks, cloud service security and traffic anomaly detection using machine learning. The course will end with an open lecture, where participants will discuss current trends and cases of AI applications in cybersecurity with an expert.

The implementation of the course confirms the authority of SPbSUT as one of the leading Russian centers of competence in the field of cybersecurity and telecommunications. The University strengthens the position of Russian higher education in the Asia-Pacific countries.
