95 years in the communications industry

The Bonch-Bruevich Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications celebrated its 95th anniversary on October 13, 2025. The anniversary events will last all week from October 13th to 17th

On the morning of October 13, students, staff, and university administrators gathered for a prayer  at St Isaac's Cathedral in honor of the 95th anniversary of SPbSUT.

At noon, Rector of SPbSUT Ruslan Kirichek and Maxim Belov, the best graduate of 2025, fired a cannon in The Peter and Paul Fortress. This famous St Petersburg tradition marked the beginning of the anniversary week celebrations.

On the same day, the exhibition "Generations of SPbSUT" about the people who have been shaping the University's history for decades opened in the main building of the University at 22 Bolshevikov Prospect.

The anniversary media project "Link of Times" has launched in memory of outstanding scientists and teachers whose discoveries and achievements defined the development of communications and telecommunications in Russia.

The anniversary week program includes a postcard cancellation ceremony, a meeting of the SPbSUT Board of Trustees, the opening of the "95 Years with Industry and Country" exhibition, the launch of new laboratories and spaces from the University's partners, a book presentation about Mikhail Bonch-Bruevich, a departmental awards ceremony for the SPbSUT staff, Student Day and other events.
