SPbSUT and PTIT strengthen cooperation

      Head of the Department of Information Security of Computer Networks, Ph.D., Associate Professor Igor Ushakov held talks with the Deputy Director of the Post and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT, Vietnam), Professor Tu Minh Phuong.

      The meeting was an important step in the development of partnership between the universities. The parties noted the commonality of competencies in the fields of telecommunications, IT, information security and discussed specific areas of cooperation.

      The double degree program in Information Security was among the topics discussed by representatives from both universities. Students will be able to study in Vietnam and Russia and receive diplomas from SPbSUT and PTIT, which are recognized in both countries.

      The parties also discussed the possibility of conducting joint research and projects, conducting short-term courses (face-to-face and online), as well as academic exchanges and student participation in international competitions, including in Russia.

      Igor Ushakov highly appreciated the level of training and competence of PTIT students and confirmed the readiness of SPbSUT to deepen cooperation in all areas discussed.
