Russia celebrated Cosmonautics Day, and the whole world celebrated International Day of Human Space Flight on April 12. In honor of this special date, students of the Preparatory Department of SPbSUT went to the V. P. Glushko Museum of Cosmonautics and Rocket Technology to get to know the history of space exploration better and pay tribute to the memory of the first conquerors of the starry sky.
The excursion was not only educational, but also inspiring. The students saw legendary exhibits: astronauts' spacesuits, models of satellites and rockets, personal belongings of Yuri Gagarin and other space heroes. The students were especially interested in the interactive zones and the guides' stories about life in orbit.
“This was the first acquaintance with the great history of Soviet and world cosmonautics and, perhaps, the first step towards a dream aimed at the sky!” noted Head of the International Education Department of SPbSUT Yulia Lutova.
