7 july 2026

"I am very glad that I took this course. During my studies, I gained a lot of knowledge in the field of information security, especially regarding the use of AI in this area. Many thanks to Igor, PhD, for his dedication and constant support."

This is just one of many reviews received for the course "Applied Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Network and Information Security," which  Head of the Department of Information Security of Computer Networks, Ph.D., Associate Professor Igor Ushakov, taught to students at the Institute of Posts and Telecommunications.

On July 4, 2026, the final intensive lecture was held, at the end of which the students received certificates.

At the end of the course, most of the students expressed interest in continuing their studies in Russia. A promising Double degree Master's program in Information Security is designed to help implement these plans. The program is scheduled to open in 2027.

Igor Ushakov received a letter of gratitude from the PTIT Vice-Rector for his high professionalism and the quality of the course. The parties expressed confidence in the continued development of mutually beneficial cooperation in education.

"I express my gratitude to the Rector of the Vietnamese university, its management, and colleagues who organized the visit and showed me around the country! Our universities truly have a lot in common. I am impressed by the high level of technical equipment at PTIT's laboratory facilities, including the IoT, 4G, 5G, and Huawei labs. I'm confident that this won't be the last visit by SPbSUT faculty to our friendly university."
