The results of the All–Russian contest "Infoforum - A New Generation"

The results of the All–Russian contest "Infoforum - A New Generation", which was held together with the Educational and Methodological Association of Russian universities in the field of information security, have been summed up. This year, a master's student of the SPbSUT was among the winners of the competition.

The competition was established to encourage students, educational centers and young professionals working in the field of information security. The prize has been awarded since 2008 to students of Russian universities and colleges studying in the specialty "Information security and information protection", teachers and leading educational centers, as well as young professionals already working in practice in leading organizations of the Russian Federation.

According to the results of the competition in the nomination "Student of the Year", the winner was Alexander Katasonov, a student of the Institute of Magistracy studying in the field of training 10.04.01 "Information Security", graduating from the Department of Secure communication systems (SCS).

The awarding of the winners of the competition took place on February 3rd and 4th at the Infoforum site.

We congratulate Alexander on his well-deserved award and wish him further success in his scientific work!

It should be noted that the Department of Secure Communication Systems has repeatedly been the winner of this prestigious competition in the nomination "Educational Center of the Year" (2016, 2019). Teachers of the department became laureates in the nomination "Teacher of the Year": in 2017 – Ph.D. Associate Professor of the Department of SCS Igor Ushakov, in 2019 – Ph.D., Associate Professor, head of the department of SCS Andrey Krasov.

Laureates of the competition among students of the department: in 2017 – Artem Gelfand, in 2019 – Komildzhonov Rustamjon, in 2020 – Victoria Radynskaya. In addition, the winner of the competition in the nomination "Young Specialist of the Year" in 2017 was the Candidate of Technical Sciences, senior lecturer of the Department of SCS Lidiya Vitkova.
