SPbSUT students learn different languages

SPbSUT students immersed in the linguistic diversity at the week of foreign languages, organized by the Faculty of Social Digital Technologies. Master classes in Arabic, French and Chinese were organized.

The meetings in Arabic and French were held by students who recently arrived in Russia and enrolled in preparatory courses.

Lionelle from Benin (West Africa) introduced the participants of the event to the most romantic language in the world – French. Lionel speaks Russian, English, 8 African dialects, but calls French her native.

Tunisian students Youssefou and Abderrahman taught the guests the most important words in Arabic and talked about writing and speaking. Youssef made a wonderful gift to some of the participants, writing their names in Arabic script.

The master class in Chinese was conducted by teacher at St Petersburg School No. 619 Anastasia Yarekha. The audience learned a lot about the culture and language of China, learned a large number of words and hieroglyphs. Anastasia told how to learn the language correctly and convinced everyone present that "all ages are submissive to Chinese" and it's never too late to learn.

Foreign and Russian Languages Department of the Faculty of Social Digital Technologies hopes that such useful and informative language workshops will become a good tradition of our University.
