Foreign students got acquainted with St Petersburg

This year’s first event of the International Student Club “Signal” took place in the in the SutSpace coworking. The event was dedicated to St Petersburg.

Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and International Cooperation Nina Zhuravleva, Head of International Cooperation Department Aleksandra Soloveva and Head of the Center for Cooperation with the Middle East and Africa Adam Ahmed were guests of the event.

The students learned about the rich history of the city, its cultural traditions, got acquainted with the favorite dishes of St Petersburg residents, listened to two versions of the anthem of the Zenit football club.

Conversational practice with Russian students and the opportunity to "walk" around St Petersburg using the city map have become a particularly useful experience for foreigners.

Nina Zhuravleva presented gifts to students who answered questions about St Petersburg, and noted the good organization and friendly atmosphere.

The Signal Club and international students of the Preparatory Department will continue to talk about our city, but about another page of its history. It is planned to hold a new event - “Leningrad. Siege of Leningrad”, which is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the complete liberation of Leningrad from the fascist blockade. The event will take place on January 23.
