Visit of representatives of Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications to SPbSUT

The delegation of Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications (Kazakhstan) visited SPbSUT on February 15. AUPET was presented by Head of the Department of Automation and Control Igor Fedorenko and Associate Professor of the Department Svetlana Khan.

The guests met with Rector of SPbSUT Ruslan Kirichek, Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and International Cooperation Nina Zhuravleva, Dean of the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies Igor Zikratov, Head of the Department of Intelligent Automation and Control Systems Galina Verkhova and Associate Professor of the Department Sergey Akimov.

The colleagues discussed promising areas of cooperation – from the creation of joint educational programs to advanced training of teachers from the University of Energy on the basis of SPbSUT.

Igor Zikratov introduced the guests to the faculty and educational departments and invited them to take part in the upcoming International scientific, technical and scientific-methodical conference "Actual Problems of Infotelecommunications in Science and Education".

The possibility of creating joint educational programs for master's students, organizing internships for Master’s students at Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications in Kazakhstan was discussed at a meeting with Head of the Department of Intelligent Automation and Control Systems Galina Verkhova and Associate Professor of the Department Sergey Akimov.

Colleagues raised the issues of organizing joint scientific publications and advanced training programs for teachers from Almaty University at SPbSUT.

Igor Fedorenko spoke about the activities of the department, interaction with foreign companies and  noted that the implementation of educational programs at AUPET is carried out in Kazakh, Russian and English.

SPbSUT and AUPET have been cooperating for 10 years. Our University has repeatedly accepted Master’s students from Almaty University of Power Engineering and Telecommunications for internship programs, as well as students for exchange programs.

SPbSUT is always glad to see students and teachers from Kazakhstan and looks forward to meeting in the new year!
