International external expertise of educational programs was held at SPbSUT

From May 12th to 14th, SPbSUT held professional and public accreditation of two clusters of educational programs:

10.03.01 "Information Security", 10.05.02 "Information security of telecommunications systems", 10.04.01 "Information Security", 10.06.01 "Information security"
11.03.02 "Infocommunication technologies and communication systems", profile "Secure communication systems and networks", 10.04.02 "Infocommunication technologies and communication systems", profile "Secure communication systems and networks".
The evaluation of educational programs was carried out in a mixed format.

Chairman of the Commission Peeter Normak, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Director of the School of Digital Technologies of the University of Tallinn and Daiva Vitkute-Ajgauskene, Doctor of Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science, Professor of the Department of Applied Computer Science, Vytautas the Great University connected online using the Zoom platform.

Meetings with a number of graduates located in other regions, and with Anders Karlsson, Ph. D., Professor at the Blekinge Institute of Technology (Sweden) were also held in an online format.

SPbSUT was visited by an expert commission consisting of:

Pyotr Korotkov, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor, Coordinator from the National Academic Center;
Gennady Veselov, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the Institute of Computer Technologies and Information Security, Southern Federal University»;
Alexey Gostin, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Director of the Center for New Information Technologies, Ryazan State Radio Engineering University»;
Irina Tambovskaya, Deputy Director of the macro-regional branch — Director for Organizational Development and Personnel Management, Rostelecom macro-regional branch "North-West" - representative of the professional community;
Ekaterina Oleynik, 3rd year student of the Institute of Cybersecurity and Information Protection, member of the Student Commission on the Quality of Education, Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University.
The Commission noted the high quality of training in the declared programs, high employment rates (100%), high qualification of the teaching staff, participation in the international exchange program (two diplomas with the partner university of SPbSUT-the Blekinge Institute of Technology).

On May 14th, at the final meeting of the commission with the university administration, the rector of SPbSUT, Professor Sergey Bachevsky, was awarded an international certificate of public and professional accreditation, as well as recommendations for improving the educational process for these programs.
