Graduation ceremony at the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens

The ceremony of awarding certificates to international students of the Preparatory Department took place on July 5. 45 students, of whom 33 successfully passed the final exam in the Russian language (level B-1) in the following aspects: vocabulary, grammar; reading, listening, writing, speaking were trained from October to June.

Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and International Cooperation Nina Zhuravleva, Head of International Cooperation Department Anna Skorynina, Head of the Center for Cooperation with the Middle East and Africa Adam Ahmed, Head of International Education Department Irina Zykova, Head of the Preparatory course for foreign students Natalia Fursova, teachers, graduates, as well as members of the International Student Club “Signal” took part in the ceremony.

The ceremony was accompanied by warm words and wishes of success in further education. The participants of the meeting noted the importance of passing this stage in the life of international students and congratulated them on this achievement.

This year, the graduation of the preparatory department for international students was a particularly memorable event. The students and the teachers went on a trip to the shores of the Gulf of Finland. The double-deck motor ship "Mirage" sailed along the Bolshaya and Malaya Neva and entered the Gulf of Finland. Travelers looked at new sites in St Petersburg, including the Lakhta Center and the Gazprom Arena stadium against the backdrop of a beautiful sunset.

The presentation of certificates is an important moment in the life of every student, which symbolizes recognition of their efforts and achievements in their studies. The graduation of the Preparatory Department, organized, among other things, thanks to the support of the Rosmolodezh grant, was the beginning of a new stage. Most of the students will stay at our University for Bachelor's and Master's degrees.
