SPbSUT – participant of the festival "#We_Are_In_Touch"

The SPbSUT team takes an active part in the All-Russian Scientific and Sports Festival, which takes place in Moscow at the Skolkovo Technopark on May 24-25.

Rector of SPbSUT Ruslan Kirichek made a welcoming speech at the opening panel discussion of the festival. He presented the opportunities for the development of the IT industry in Russia in the context of education, spoke about the new generation of specialists being trained by SPbSUT and about attracting young developers to solve the problems of business, the state and society.

The participants discussed the issues of industry digitalization and cyber security, development of fintech and sports technology, support for IT brands and building a career in IT on the first day of the festival. Master classes and round tables were held with the participation of representatives of IT companies, Internet services and universities.

Students of SPbSUT Dmitry Platonov, Artem Pesin, Anton Gudakov and Vladislav Kozyrev successfully completed cyber studies on the Ampire platform conducted by the company "Perspective Monitoring".

Rector Ruslan Kirichek spoke at the session "How to program a successful future, or why is the ability to code useful in any profession?" He spoke about the creative role of universities, about the principles of interaction between universities and industry based on traditional, project and innovative approaches, about the creation of a start-up studio at SPbSUT.

“Programmers solve non-trivial problems, develop algorithms, build software architecture and select optimal technologies and languages. These are not just coders-executors, but the authors of big ideas!” he noted.

Rector also attended the XI Startup Village Technology Conference "Time of Innovation" 2023. The event with the participation of startup founders, mentors and investors is taking place in the Central Park of Skolkovo as part of the Moscow Entrepreneurship Week.

Head of the Center for Advanced Projects and Developments at SPbSUT Artem Krivosheev will speak in the unmanned aerial vehicles section on May 25. He will share his experience in rapidly deploying a flying network for emergency services. The program of the day includes discussions, cyber-competitions, games.

SPbSUT is represented by a large team at the festival: Rector Ruslan Kirichek, Vice-Rector for Project Activities Evgenii Milaev, Head of the Center for Advanced Projects and Developments Artem Krivosheev, Head of Marketing and Advertising Department Galina Grigoryan, 11 students of the Faculty of Infocommunication Networks and Systems and 2 students of Master’s Institute.
