Foreign students learn about Russia through science, culture and technology

Foreign students of the Preparatory Department of SPbSUT continue to study Russian.They visited a study excursion at The A.S. Popov Central Museum of Communication.

Students learned about the history of the development of post, telegraph, telephone, radio, television, cell phones and the Internet. The students' attention was attracted by authentic antiques in the museum's exposition: mailboxes, stamp collections, a telephone switchboard, the first models of Soviet television, a real artificial satellite of the Earth and interactive exhibits: "space" scales, a bicycle dynamo, a device for analyzing the timbre of a voice, a rotating zootrope, an "electric harp" and pneumatic mail.

Foreign students broadened their understanding of the world of communications, got acquainted with the technical achievements of Russia in the field of computing and telecommunications, with which they will work.
