Infocom immersion: St Petersburg high school students learned about studying at SPbSUT

Students of the graduating classes of gymnasium 631 of the Primorsky district of St Petersburg visited SPbSUT. Schoolchildren got acquainted with the University and work of Infocommunication Systems Department.

Head of the Department of Career Guidance and Pre-university Training Tatiana Drobinina presented the possibilities of the University. She spoke about the specifics of admission in 2023 and the requirements for applicants, about Preparatory Courses and Olympiads. Head of Infocommunication Systems Department Anton Zarub introduced the directions of the Department and the prospects for education.

Associate Professor of the Department Sergey Kislyakov demonstrated the Laboratory of Support Systems for the Operation of Infocommunication Networks (OSS / BSS).

Schoolchildren learned about some management systems: technical accounting of network resources, material resource management system, labor force management system, user technical support system.

Head of the Scientific and Educational Center "Infocommunication Technologies and neurocognitive architectures" Kirill Yesalov presented the developments and equipment of the Scientific and Educational Center. The participants of the meeting discussed the possibilities of using robots, artificial intelligence and technological prospects for the future.

Gymnasium students plan to participate in the Olympiads of our University, look forward to new meetings at the University and look forward to practice in the laboratories of Infocommunication Systems Department. A visit to the Faculty of Social Digital Technologies is planned.
