Representative of Faculty of Social and Digital Technologies at the Forum of International Studies Students

First All-Russian Forum of International Studies Students was held from 25 to 28 October in Moscow. The Forum was organized for the 220th anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.

65 students from 54 universities of the country took part in the event, among them a 4th-year student of SPbSUT Galina Purtova.

Students took part in a round table and discussions with the best teachers and experts in the field of international relations, representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Alexey Drobinin and Sergey Ryabkov.

Panel discussions on the sections "Priorities of Russia by region" became important and useful. The participants learned a lot about Latin America, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, the CIS and the EAEU. In addition to acquiring and mastering knowledge in the field of International Relations, students were able to communicate with RT CEO Alexey Nikolov, who presented a vivid and informative report on fake news and working with information.

The visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs became the central event of the Forum. Director of the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova attended the briefing, students were able to ask her questions. An excursion to the Reception House of the Russian Foreign Ministry - the mansion of Zinaida Morozova was a pleasant surprise for the students.

“It was an honor for me to represent my native SPbSUT at the First All-Russian Forum of International Studies Students, to tell people about us. My trip to Moscow would have been impossible without all the knowledge and skills that Department of Foreign Regional Studies, my teachers, gave me. Thank you for everything and I hope that my experience will inspire other students not to be afraid and try their hand at everything new and important for them!"– says Galina.

The Forum ended with a festive dinner and issuance of certificates. Each participant was able to discover something new, acquire useful contacts and inspiration for further studies.
