The procedure and conditions for the entry of foreign students to the Russian Federation

Dear international students of SPbSUT!

By order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 639-r of 16.03.2021, foreign students, postgraduates, residents, students of preparatory faculties are allowed to return to Russia to continue their studies.

Foreign citizens will be able to enter Russia for training only in those countries that are recommended by Rospotrebnadzor as countries with a safe epidemiological situation.

Currently, entering Russia are international students from Abkhazia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Vietnam, Greece, Egypt, India, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, the Maldives, the United Arab Emirates, Seychelles, Serbia, Singapore, Tanzania, Turkey, Finland, Switzerland, Ethiopia, South Korea, South Ossetia, Japan, Venezuela, Germany, Syria, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Iceland, Malta, Mexico, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Austria, Hungary, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Mauritius, Morocco, Croatia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Jordan, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, China, Liechtenstein, Northern Macedonia, USA, France, Czech Republic, Albania.

Before coming to Russia, foreign students must notify the Department of International Cooperation by e-mail at least 10 days in advance dmo@sut.ru about the date of entry into the Russian Federation. In the letter, you must specify the surname and first name, citizenship, and attach a copy of your ticket. Before arriving in Russia, you must check the availability and correctness of the data of the document according to which you will cross the border of the Russian Federation in the lists using the form on the Public Services portal .

Please note that the purpose of entry in the migration card should be-STUDY.

No earlier than 3 calendar days before arrival in Russia, it is necessary to make a test for COVID-19 by PCR and, if the result is negative, get a corresponding document in Russian or English in your country.

Within 72 hours after entering the territory of Russia, foreign students must pass a repeated PCR test. Before receiving the test results, it is necessary to observe the self-isolation regime at the place of residence.

During the isolation period, the training takes place in an online format. Without a repeat test, foreign students are not allowed to study full-time. We ask you not to forget about timely registration for migration registration immediately after you are granted access to the buildings of SPbSUT! All foreign citizens arriving for study must have a valid medical insurance policy.

If during the period of self-isolation, foreign students who have arrived in Russia have the first symptoms of an acute respiratory disease (fever, sore throat, runny nose, cough), the student should immediately report this to the university and call a doctor.
