On October 5th, a professional holiday of teachers is celebrated in our country.
It was on this day in 1965 that a general meeting of two organizations – the International Labor Organization and UNESCO - took place in the French capital. It discussed issues related to educational activities, for example, who is a teacher, what are the goals and objectives of teaching, how and where to prepare them.
October 5th became the International Teacher's Day 28 years later, in 1994, at the initiative of the UN. Now this day is marked in red in the calendars of more than a hundred countries around the world.
A teacher is one of the most respected professions in our country, the scope of their activities includes the tasks of educating and educating the younger generation. These tasks are very difficult, and therefore today a teacher must have deep and versatile knowledge not only in his subject, but also in psychology, pedagogy, and possess modern information technologies.
Teacher's Day is a great occasion to thank those who have chosen an important and difficult profession.
Dear colleagues - professors, associate professors, teachers of SPbSUT! Please accept our sincere congratulations on our common holiday – Teacher's Day!
A teacher is not just a profession, but a vocation, because it is the teacher who, sharing his experience accumulated over many years, largely determines the fate of a young person. The success of teachers is in the achievements of students. And you have something to be proud of!
A huge intellectual and creative potential is concentrated in SPbSUT, real masters of their craft work here, among whom there are many holders of government awards, honorary titles, winners and laureates of Russian and international competitions. Our veterans deserve special admiration, who continue to work, being a model of loyalty to their vocation and an example for young teachers.
May this festive day bring everyone a lot of positive emotions, warm congratulations and wishes from colleagues and students. We sincerely wish you health, optimism, success in your work and as many talented students as possible!
And we wish you, dear students, interesting lectures and seminars, the desire to learn as much as possible from your excellent teachers, as well as constant self-improvement.
