SPbSUT held the first phygital drone racing championship

The first digital drone racing championship was held at SPbSUT on April 29.

The competition, which unites the physical and digital worlds, was dedicated to the launch of the countdown of three hundred days before the start of the International Multisport Tournament "Games of the Future".

The races of small-sized quadrocopters were held on a specially equipped track and in virtual space.

The participants of the phygital championship were students of St Petersburg universities. The ten best pilots were selected for the final - these are representatives of Saint Petersburg State University of Telecommunications, Saint Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, Saint Petersburg State University of Civil  Aviation.

The competition consisted of passing tracks in two disciplines: a technical computer sports simulator (“DCL – The Game”) and a mini-drone race (mini-class FPV quadcopters).

According to the results of the flights, the winners were:

1st place - Alexandr Belyakov (SUAI)

2nd place - Alexandr Grebenyuk (SPbSUT)

3rd place - Bogdan Smirnov (SPbSUT)
