Pancakes, dancing, contests: the long-awaited spring was met in SPbSUT

On March 2nd, the most delicious event of spring – Maslenitsa - took place in the courtyard of SPbSUT. The Organizing Committee of the SPbSUT Student Council prepared several interactive platforms for the guests, where everyone could join the traditions of the national holiday.

The whole event was accompanied by incendiary music, Eva Gushchina performed the song "Oh, Mommy, on a sled".

A pancake bake contest was held as part of the holiday. The guys boldly experimented with dough recipes and fillings, and the audience and guests tried and then evaluated the hot and delicious Russian pancakes.

The contestants fought for the victory in one of the nominations:

"The most delicious pancake";
"The most satisfying pancake";
"The most original pancake".
Daria Osipova received the title of the best pancake master. Congratulations! In second place – Yulia Molodtsova and Zarina Nagaibekova. The girls were awarded with well-deserved applause and valuable prizes.

On the same day, a competition for eating pancakes and running in bags for speed took place. The strongest and fastest were Artem Drozhenko and Ivan Germanovich.

The festivities ended with the burning of an effigy, which symbolizes the end of winter and the beginning of the long-awaited spring.
