4 may 2023

Representatives of SPbSUT took part in the Festival of National Cultures "We are different - but we are together." The Festival was held within the walls of Saint Petersburg State Forestry University on April 28.

Head of International Cooperation Department Alexandra Soloveva and foreign students - Kakusimezu Sandru Eduardo (Republic of Angola, 3rd year), Keita Alpha Kabine (Republic of Guinea, 1st year) and Mahamadou Moussy Ousmane (Republic of Niger, 1st year) were representatives of SPbSUT at the Festival.

The program of the holiday included various master classes, the work of the fair of national cuisines, interactive zones and a concert program.

The guests of the Festival were interested in a master class on Japanese thread weaving - kumihimo, the technique of which was used by samurai. The students tried to weave long and dense threads into patterns and were greatly impressed by the process.

Foreign students from different universities presented national poetry, vocal-instrumental and dance numbers and told interesting facts about their Motherland in the concert program.

Brazil, China, Panama, Indonesia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan – this is not a complete list of countries represented at the Festival. The Festival of cultures turned out to be very sincere, hospitable and friendly!

We are grateful to International Cooperation Department of the Forestry University for the invitation and organization of such a bright event!
