The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) has launched the Artificial Intelligence for Good platform, a year–round digital event organized by ITU in partnership with 38 UN agencies and jointly with Switzerland.
The aim of the AI for Good project is to identify ways to use AI in practice to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and scale these solutions to have an impact at the global level.
Weekly events are held within the framework of the project in various formats and time zones, including speeches, webinars with the participation of experts, interviews, project demonstrations, networking, "smart" selection carried out with the help of AI, contests, startup presentations and much more.
After switching to work in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the AI for Good platform has gained almost 200,000 online views. The platform's community includes 60,000 people from more than 180 countries, and its activities are regularly widely covered in international media, which makes the UN platform on artificial intelligence a leading, action-oriented, global and inclusive one.
The events for 2022 can be found on the project's website .
