The Student Scientific Society at SPbSUT was established at the inception of the Student Council and is part of its structure. Currently, the Student Scientific Society is represented in the form of the Scientific Work Committee of the Student Council. The SSS includes 33 people. The head of the Scientific Work Committee is Maksim Artemovich Zuikov.
The Committee's activities are aimed at: creating conditions for the development of scientific potential and the formation of students' research competencies; involving students in scientific research, innovation, and science outreach activities. The Committee has been assigned tasks to create conditions for students to conduct their own research.
The Committee assists in the preparation and publication of student research and innovation works, as well as represents the interests of students on issues of science, education, and innovation before the University administration.
The Committee on Scientific Work organizes events such as What? Where? When? (WWN), cycles of educational lectures in the "Selektel" space, and provides assistance in organizing and holding APIINO conferences and the "Student Spring" festival.
On the Committee's initiative, monthly meetings are held with the Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, where students can learn up-to-date information from the world of science and ask questions that interest them.
