International Festival of National Cultures
Peace and friendly international understanding through art and culture. These words reflect the meaning and the main point of the International Festival of National Cultures at SPbSUT.
The International Festival of National Cultures proved to be an annual celebration of friendship, communication, sport and art where the representatives of more than 50 countries take part in. Our Festival map includes more than 70 partner universities from all over the world, performance groups and sport teams. From 2005 the International Festival of National Cultures has been bringing together a great number of students from all over the world to spend time in St Petersburg and at SPbSUT sharing their intercultural experience.
International Festival of National Cultures traditionally is devided into 3 parts:
1st Day: Opening ceremony "Friendship in creation and dialogue"
- Spectacular flashmob;
- Meeting of the Foreign Student Council and other educational institutions representatives;
- Cuisine competition – “Best national dishes of the world” in the following categories: main dish, dessert and the best decoration of the table
2nd Day: Sport events "Friendship in sport"
- Football;
- Darts;
- Tennis;
- Volleyball.
3d Day: Closing ceremony "Friendship forever"
- Photo competition in national dress;
- Presentations of national traditions and national games;
- Master classes on different kinds of national arts;
- Creative workshops: culture and everyday life objects of different nations;
- Linguistic workshops.
All participants of the Festival are welcomed to sight-seeing tour to discover the most remarkable places in St Petersburg!
The students from our foreign partner universities will be offered free accommodation in students’ Russian families. Other participants - at their own expense.
How to participate in the annual International Festival of National Cultures at Bonch:
- fill the application form and send to dmo@sut.ru with the mark “International Festival of National Cultures”;
- attach a copy of your valid passport.
Check the deadline for submitting your application forms (need time to get the invitation to start Russian visa getting process).
