Knowledge Day at SPbSUT

The brightest holiday of students and teachers, dedicated to the beginning of the new academic year, took place on September 1 at the University of Telecommunications.

The main heroes of the Knowledge Day were first-year students. The annual festival "Meet Bonch!" was organized specifically for first-year students. Students got acquainted with scientific and student associations of the University: athletes, volunteers, developers, artists, fighters of student groups, took part in competitions. Industrial partners of the University joined the festival for the first time.

The festive concert began with a dance number and a drum show, after which the anthem of Russia and the anthem of SPbSUT were sounded.

Rector of the University Ruslan Kirichek congratulated the first-year students on the Day of Knowledge and said that he graduated from Bonch 15 years ago.

"Dear students, we are very glad to see you! These walls will become your home. Our University is multifaceted: we have many directions and student activities that will open up new abilities in you Be open and proactive, don't grow up fast, enjoy your student life! Study and make friends. Authority, fame and prosperity will come by themselves. We are one family now. We are signalmen, we are the flagship university of Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation and proudly carry this banner. And let everything be Bonch-Bruevich!" said Ruslan Kirichek.

The cover band performed in the final part of the holiday. The artists performed popular hits of Russian and foreign bands, and the students danced while the performance was going on.
