SPbSUT presented IT industry professions at the “Voskhod” camp

The events of SPbSUT Digital Academy for schoolchildren were held on August 22 at the Voskhod children's health camp. The children learned about the possibilities of the Academy and learned the basics of Web Interface Design.

Representatives of our University: Head of Preparatory Courses and Head of the Digital Academy for Schoolchildren Irina Veberova, Head of the Department for Educational Work Sergey Morozov and Specialist of Preparatory Courses, Host of the Master Class Daria Ershova spoke to the audience.

Schoolchildren got acquainted with a variety of professions in IT industry, which can be obtained at the faculties of SPbSUT. It was noted that the Digital Academy helps schoolchildren navigate the modern digital world, consciously choose a profession and direction of study through its thematic courses, programs and master classes: "Programming in Python", "Control of Quadcopters", "Creation of Video Games", "Computer Design", "Creation of Web Interfaces", "Internet of Things" and others.

Seven teams took part in the Web Interface Design Master Class and the competition for the best designed interface for a virtual IT camp mobile application. Each team presented their own vision of the future application design and successfully defended their first project. The best works were awarded according to the results of the competition, all participants received memorable souvenirs.

"Schoolchildren learned a lot of new things and gained valuable experience of teamwork in an IT project, demonstrated great interest and desire to study at the Digital Academy and in the future to enroll in Bonch!" - said Irina Weberova.
