SPbSUT at the meeting of the Russian-Uzbek Subcommission

The meeting of the Russian-Uzbek SubCommission on Innovations and Digital Technologies was held in a videoconference format on October 24.

The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Bella Cherkesova and the First Deputy Minister for the Development of Information Technologies and Communications of the Republic of Uzbekistan Oleg Pekos.

More than 30 experts from both countries took part in the event. The agenda of the meeting included issues of cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan in the development of the digital economy, telecommunications, education in the field of ICT, innovation centers and management of technology parks and digital healthcare.

Head of International Cooperation Department Irina Karimova represented SPbSUT at the event. Irina made a presentation on cooperation in the field of education and science with higher educational institutions and enterprises of the ICT industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Irina Karimova told colleagues about the long-term and successful experience of working with Uzbek academic and industrial partners, implemented events and projects, and also presented proposals of SPbSUT to expand cooperation with the Uzbek side, in particular, to develop academic mobility of students and teachers, joint research, publication activity.

Colleagues were invited to take part in ICAIT conference, International Festival of National Cultures, Infotelecom Olympiad and other events.
