SPbSUT and Academy of Digital Technologies will help students find themselves in IT

SPbSUT and Academy of Digital Technologies have become partners in the field of pre-professional and professional orientation of children, adolescents and youth. The parties signed a cooperation agreement in SPbSUT on October 25.

On behalf of SPbSUT, the document was signed by Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Public Relations Irina Alekseenko, on behalf of the Academy - Director Dmitry Kovalev.

The partner meeting was also attended by Deputy Director for Innovation at the Academy Anastasia Prokhorova, Head of Marketing and Advertising Department Galina Grigoryan and Head of Career Guidance and Pre-University Training Department Tatiana Drobinina.

The colleagues discussed further cooperation between the University and the Institution of additional education for children. The plans include organization of joint career guidance events: seminars, round tables, competitions, master classes, trainings, guest lectures and hackathons. In addition, our will help students of the Academy to learn about possibilities of development in the technical field and admission to one of the leading universities in St Petersburg.

"This year we had a record number of applicants and most of them are interested in technical specialties. We believe that this is an excellent indicator of the demand for the IT sphere. It is necessary to develop the direction of preparing schoolchildren for admission to University. I think we can help build their educational trajectory for the Academy's students and invite them to study with us in the future," Irina Alekseenko said.

An excursion of the University of Telecommunications was organized for representatives of the Academy of Digital Technologies. The guests were presented the scientific and educational centers "Technologies of Information and Educational Systems", "Media Center", "SPbSUT Museum", the National Cyberpolygon and the Laboratory of cyberphysical systems.

Director of the Academy Dmitry Kovalev invited teachers to the Academy for an excursion and to discuss the implementation of joint educational projects.
