SPbSUT at the Meeting on Internationalization of Russian Education

Meeting of Vice-Rectors for International Activities of Russian Universities "Internationalization of Russian Higher Education: Achievements and Challenges" was held on November 16 at RUDN University. Head of International Cooperation Department Irina Karimova took part in the event. The meeting was organized with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

The speakers of the meeting were representatives of relevant departments of the Ministry of Education and Science of Russia, the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, Compatriots Living Abroad, International Humanitarian Cooperation, "Russia is a land of Opportunities" and representatives of the leading universities.

The results of the admission of foreign citizens to Russian universities in 2023, the features of career guidance and selection events in the current period were discussed as part of round tables and speeches by speakers.

Information on the distribution of quotas of the Government of the Russian Federation for foreign students this year was presented at the event, as well as a grant program for foreign applicants was announced. Students, graduate students and students of additional professional programs will be able to receive such forms of financial support as a monthly scholarship, covering the cost of a voluntary medical insurance policy and dormitory. The mandatory conditions for obtaining such a grant are obtaining a quota of the Government of the Russian Federation for studying in Russia, the absence of Russian citizenship and receiving education in Russian.
