Summing up the results of the International Competition of Scientific, Technical and Innovative Developments aimed at the exploration of the Arctic and the continental shelf took place on September 13 at Expoforum.
Scientists and engineers presented works covering a wide range of scientific, technical and production tasks. 54 works from 42 organizations were submitted to the competition.
Senior lecturer of the Department of Photonics and Communication Lines Valentin Khrichkov took part in the event from SPbSUT. He presented the work "Development of a system for monitoring submarine fiber-optic communication lines with DWDM". Valentin Khrichkov was recognized as the winner of the first prize of the competition.

The competition has been held since 2014 under the coordinating role of Russian Academy of Science, Ministry of Energy of Russia with the support of Federal executive authorities and regional state authorities of the Russian Federation.
