The International Students' Day is celebrated on November, 17th.
This day – the Day of International Solidarity of Students - was established in 1941 in London (Great Britain) at an international meeting of students who fought against fascism, in honor of the students of Czechoslovakia – heroes of Resistance who suffered in 1939 during the massacre of a student demonstration in German-occupied Prague.
Today, Student's Day is celebrated in many countries of the world, and although the programs for celebrating this day are vary, it is very popular among students. International Students' Day is a day of unity of students of all educational institutions.
Happy holidays, dear SPbSUT students!
