The victories of SPbSUT esports players in the All — Russian esports Student League qualifying tournaments

The competitions of the fifth season of the All — Russian esports Student League, an annual tournament for students of higher and secondary specialized educational institutions of the country, organized by the Russian Computer Sports Federation, started in February. The competition is supported by a grant from the President of the Russian Federation for the development of civil society, provided by the Presidential Grants Fund.

In the 2020-2021 academic year, students from all over Russia will take part in team competitions in the following disciplines: Dota 2, CS: GO, StarCraft II, Hearthstone and Clash Royale. The total prize pool in the new season will be more than 2.5 million rubles.

The competition is divided into three stages: regional (February 1 – March 31), zonal (April, 1-30) and final (June, 11-14).

Students of CyberBonch esports club actively participate in the regional stage, and the athletes already have a number of victories!

On March 15, with a score of 3:1, SPbSUT student Vadim Nikolaev (nickname: Karas) defeated an opponent in the HEARTHSTONE discipline and passed to the grand final of the League!

On March 16, as a result of an intense struggle in the CS discipline:The match was won by the team of our university with a score of 2:1.
