Full-time studying of foreign citizens has started at SPbSUT

Full-time classes at the Preparatory Department for Foreign Citizens under the guidance of Olga Kareva, Candidate of Philological Sciences, began last week. The first group of students who arrived in St Petersburg, enthusiastically continues to study Russian already within the walls of SPbSUT. Classes were held online for several months.

Studying at the Preparatory Department is a defining step for many foreign applicants to further enroll in the main studying programs, and our University has been helping them with this for several years. Students also get acquainted with the history, culture and traditions of Russia by visiting the museums of St Petersburg and going on excursions to other cities.

Students of the Preparatory Department of SPbSUT are 26 people from 7 countries: Algeria, Benin, Guinea, Egypt, China, Lebanon and Tunisia in the 2022/2023 academic year. Representatives of Algeria, Lebanon and Tunisia were the first to start the classes. The rest of the students will come to St Petersburg soon.
