SPbSUT at the Congress of Young Scientists

The Congress of Young Scientists (CMU-21) was held on the federal territory of Sirius from December 8th to 10th. As part of the business program of the project, round tables, sessions, discussions were held, at which the results of the thematic months of the Year of Science and Technology were summed up. Educational events were also organized in various areas of research activities.

The CMU-21 site was visited by representatives of the University of Telecommunications - Ruslan Kirichek, Head of the Department of Software Engineering and Computer Facilities, and graduate students Alina Zadorozhnyaya and Anastasia Savelyeva.

The Congress program was very rich and informative. "Bonchevtsy" listened to lectures and took part in discussions, and also visited the exhibition "Vuzpromexpo-2021", where more than 350 developments, 50 universities, 7 world-class scientific and educational centers and 30 large enterprises were presented.

On December 8, lectures were held on the topics: "Artificial Intelligence", "Unmanned future - 2035", "Formation and development of laboratories under the guidance of young researchers", "Contribution of the university to the country's economy". As a cultural program of the same day, the film "Sky" was presented by actor Igor Petrenko– the main character of this film.

December 9 – "IoT, 5G, eSIM - buzzwords or a useful transforming reality?", "Science in the regions: how to attract and retain talents". On this day, a meeting was held with representatives of Student scientific societies of other universities. A roadmap for improving support measures for young researchers was also presented.

December 10 - "Plenary session of the Congress of Young Scientists", "Creative industries at the intersection of art, science and technology". On this day, a solemn ceremony was held to extinguish the art stamps of the Year of Science and Technology, and in the evening, the closing ceremony was held, within the framework of which the awards of the President of the Russian Federation in the field of science and innovation for young scientists for 2020 were presented.
