The winners of the “RePost! junior” was named at SPbSUT

The winners were awarded to the authors of 22 projects – schoolchildren from St Petersburg, Omsk and Nizhny Novgorod regions, Transbaikalia and Stavropol.

The festival was held in October – December 2022 with the support of VTB Bank and brought together 330 authors aged 13-18. Children from 54 cities and towns of Russia submitted 226 individual and collective works to the competition.

83 works participated in the nomination "Video", 65 in the nomination "Journalism", 52 in the nomination "Photo", 26 in the nomination "Design". The most popular topic that the authors reflected in the projects was "The world around" (77 works). 64 works were received on the topic "Idol", 38 on the topic "Health", 26 on the topic "Profession", 21 on the topic "Cyberpunk".

The final events of the festival "RePost! junior" took place on December 9 at SPbSUT. Interactive and photo zones worked for the participants.

The finalists took part in the educational program. The master class "5 rules of media hygiene" was conducted by associate Professor, Candidate of Political Sciences, Deputy Dean of Faculty of Social Digital Technologies for Educational Work Anastasia Kulnazarova. Head of the Media Center Video Technology Department Daria Kuzmina conducted a master class on "Frame composition and camera settings".

The speakers touched upon the issues of information transmission security, reviewed global trends and projects and introduced the audience to the possibilities of technology in the educational process.

Acting Rector Georgy Mashkov, Vice-Rector for Educational Work and Public Relations, Executive Director of the Association of Student Media Centers Irina Alekseenko and Managing Director of the Retail Business Development Department of VTB Bank Olga Kosulnikova spoke at the awards ceremony.

"Today, on December 9, we celebrate a significant day – the Day of Heroes of the Fatherland. There are also our graduates and employees among such heroes. And you are the heroes of our future, our applicants, students, professionals in various fields. Good luck to you!" – said Georgy Mashkov.

"Festival "RePost! junior” took place thanks to you, dear participants! The works that we saw today will go down in the history of the Association of Student Media Centers. You have managed to reveal original themes in such serious nominations – this means that you have progressed very far on the path of professional development. Good luck to you! Remember everyone who has invested their heart and soul in your education,"- Irina Alekseenko said.

"Congratulations to everyone! The media format and the figure are closely connected with creativity, and you have proved all this with your works. For our part, we will try to support you," said Olga Kosulnikova, Managing Director of the Retail Business Development Department of VTB Bank.

The speakers announced the names of the winners of the "RePost! junior». The authors of photographs, videos, design and journalistic materials were among the best. The winners of special nominations were also awarded – for the technical implementation of the project (from VTB Bank) and for the creative approach in the implementation of the project (from the Association of Student Media Centers). Memorable gifts were presented to the finalists who came to St Petersburg from other cities: Bryansk, Nizhny Novgorod and the region, Omsk region, Tver.

Festival "RePost! junior" was held for the first time under the auspices of the annual All-Russian festival of student media works "RePost!". The goal of the project is to popularize media creativity, support young authors and develop their creative activity.

The organizer of the Festivals is SPbSUT together with Association of Student Media Centers.
