SPbSUT students visited New Year's Karelia

50 SPbSUT students - winners of the "Honorary Activist" and "Student of the Year" contests, excellent students and volunteers - went on excursions in the Republic of Karelia. New Year's trip took place on December 25th.

The students visited one of the largest underground museums in Northern Europe - the military-historical complex "Filin Mountain" in the city of Lahdenpokhya. The excursion continued in the exhibition halls of the complex with the program "Pulse of History". The students were told about the history of Lahdenpokhya and Russian-Finnish conflicts.

The next stop is the city of Sortavala and a sightseeing excursion. The students enjoyed the views of the famous Ruskeala Mountain Park.

Such events have become a good tradition. Excursions are especially popular among first-year students who came to St Petersburg from other regions.
