On November 3rd, the heads of the Bonch-Bruevich St. Petersburg State University of Telecommunications and the North China Institute of Aerospace Engineering (SKIAT) met to discuss a joint educational project.
The project involves the training of Chinese students of SKIAT at the faculties of Faculty of Infocommunication Networks and Systems, Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies and Faculty of Digital Economy, Management and Business Informatics.
The meeting began with a speech by the rectors of the universities Sergey Bachevsky and Han Wenzhong, who noted the importance of developing international cooperation in the field of education and science and strengthening ties between Russia and China. Further, the presentations of the parties included a general overview of the activities and achievements of each of the universities, including the most urgent tasks in education and research of universities in the near future.
The head of the Eurasia Company, a partner of the SPbSUT and SKIAT project, Feng Yaou, brought to the meeting participants the key requirements of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China for the successful implementation of the joint project.
Vice-Rector of SKIAT Chen Gang reviewed educational programs in the field of data science, the Internet of Things, electrical engineering and intelligent management, as well as logistics management.
The first Vice-rector-Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Georgy Mashkov presented a presentation on the areas of training implemented at the faculties mentioned above, their distinctive features and advantages, as well as highly qualified personnel training students at the relevant departments.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed gratitude for the work done on the project, and also agreed to continue consultations in order to prepare for the presentation of the Russian-Chinese project before the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China, which should take place in December 2021.
