Corporate Career Laboratory opened at SPbSUT

The new format of cooperation between business and the university will bring the process of training specialists in the field of 1C software development to a qualitatively new level.

The solemn opening ceremony of the Laboratory took place on March 1st in the main building of SPbSUT on Bolshevikov Ave., 22 in the auditorium 462/2. The equipment for it was provided by 1C:North-West LLC, the founder of the basic department of Configurable Business Applications operating at SPbSUT.

"The Bonch-Bruevich St-Petersburg State University of Telecommunications is systematically developing cooperation with leading telecommunications and IT companies in the North-West. Mutually beneficial partnership with technology leaders is key for us, primarily in the field of personnel training in the context of digital transformation of enterprises. Educational practices in the Corporate Career Laboratory will cover hundreds of students in the first year of its operation," said Sergey Bachevsky, Rector of SPbSUT.

The opening ceremony of the Laboratory was attended by university partners - managers and representatives of 1C:North-West LLC, Omega LLC, Gazpromneft-CR LLC, Volgard LLC, BiAyEy-Technologies LLC.

Oleg Suvorov, Head of Corporate Client Relations at 1C:North-West LLC, presented the goals and objectives of the new Laboratory to his colleagues. In his report, he stressed the relevance and relevance of this project in the Russian market, including in connection with the increasing role of import substitution tasks.

The Corporate Career Laboratory became part of the Faculty of Infocommunication Networks and Systems. According to the Dean of the Faculty of ICSS Darina Okuneva, the opening of the Laboratory is a new step in the framework of cooperation between business and the university.

"The main trend of modern education is practice-oriented. Our goal is to train specialists at the university stage who will be able to come to enterprises and immediately start solving real problems," she said.

On the same day, representatives of partner companies met with students of SPbSUT. The experts made presentations and talked about the requirements for interns and future employees in the course of practical training and employment.

SPbSUT expects mentors from business - those who will help students to go through all stages of software development in real corporate projects even at the stage of studying at the university.
