SPbSUT specialists spoke at the meeting on cooperation in the field of IT and Network Security

The meeting of the working group on cooperation in the field of Information Technologies and Network Security was held within the framework of the XXI Meeting of the Subcommittee on Communications and Information Technologies of the Russian-Chinese Commission for preparation of regular meetings of Heads of Governments on August 24. Specialists of the University presented reports on the educational project of SPbSUT and North China Institute of Aerospace Engineering and information exchange between the countries of BRICS.

Director of the Cybersecurity Department of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation Vladimir Bengin chaired the meeting from Russia. Deputy Director for Information Technology Development of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China Wang Weiwei  spoke as the head of the Chinese delegation.

Head of International Cooperation Department Irina Karimova and Head of Software Engineering and Computer Engineering Department Ruslan Kirichek spoke on behalf of SPbSUT at the meeting of the Russian-Chinese working group on cooperation in the field of Information Technologies and Network Security.

Irina Karimova spoke about joint educational project of SPbSUT and North China Institute of Aerospace Engineering. Curricula, educational and methodological complex were developed and staffing was prepared. Irina Karimova also noted that work is underway to prepare university dormitories to receive Chinese students. In addition, the opening of the profile «Asian Studies» was held at the Faculty of Social Digital Technologies. This event aroused considerable interest among applicants. Cooperation with China meets the tasks in the field of higher education and development of international cooperation that Russia sets for itself, it was noted at the end of the report.

Ruslan Kirichek presented the report "Organization of information exchange between the countries of BRICS". Mechanisms and methods for organizing information exchange between the countries of BRICS based on the architecture of digital objects were proposed in the report. The parties confirmed their readiness to support the relevant departments of both countries in a joint proposal for the development and testing of systems based on Digital Object Architecture (DOA) for data flows and transactions, Identification and Tracking of IoT devices, Logistics, Products and Services in the final protocol. The report was made jointly with Head of Product Development at Technical Center Internet and Rostelecom Alexander Birman.

The parties also stressed the importance of regular interaction in the field of Information Technologies and Network Security, exchanged information on the results achieved since the previous meeting of the working group, and also expressed satisfaction with high-level bilateral cooperation.
