 1. In an online format, a meeting was held with a representative of the Department "Special means of communication" of the Faculty of Infocommunication networks and systems. 2. Activists of the Council of foreign students, located in different parts of the World, held a reporting meeting on the results of the 2019/2020 academic year on the Zoom platform. The President of Council of foreign students Shakhabov Badriddin summarized the results and outlined objectives for the new school year. Much attention was paid to the topics of organizing a meeting of foreign first-year students and helping them adapt in St. Petersburg. They also discussed the problems of foreign students that arose during the pandemic, and ways to solve them.

3. The Director of the Arkhangelsk College of telecommunications (branch) of SPbSUT, A. P. Topanov, spoke live on radio Pomorye. 4. On July 31, the order of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation No. 847 established additional admission control figures for SPbSUT in the amount of 17 places for the enlarged group 09 "Informatics and computer engineering". More information is available at the link .

5. On August 2, 2020, at 9 am Moscow time, the largest race in Russia was launched, which was simultaneously held in 30 cities across the country. During the competition, St. Petersburg successfully competed for the title of "Running capital". Our student – master of sports of international class, world championship medalist, champion and winner of all-Russian powerlifting competitions Denis Ostapenko, who participated in the "Race" as a sports marshal (judge), helped him in this.

6. On August 1, SPbSUT graduate Tatyana Morina made her debut for Zenit women's football club in a match against CSKA Moscow. For 8 years as a member of the national team of SPbSUT, Tatyana has performed at the Championships among higher education organizations, Championships and Cups of St. Petersburg, all-Russian finals and Russian Championships.
