Master student of SPbSUT traveled to Hero Cities and places of Military Glory

The journey from Moscow to Brest through 11 Cities of Military Glory and Hero Cities took place as part of the large-scale patriotic project "Unconquered" in June.

 

Participants traveled more than 1500 kilometers and unfurled the largest Victory Banner in the world in 7 cities. Bahodirjon Anvarjonov was in the delegation, he is a student of SPbSUT Master's Institute, who successfully passed the selection and won participation in the project.

 

More than 6,000 students, activists and volunteers traveled along the route Russia - Belarus and became part of the commemorative events dedicated to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. Lectures were given by leading experts in international relations, which were aimed at developing youth diplomacy in Russia and the CIS countries through uniting young people with the meanings of brotherhood, unity of people and the common Victory in the Great Patriotic War during the event. Participants also unfurled the largest Victory Banner (2022 sq.m.), which claims to be included in the Guinness Book of Records, in 7 cities - in Moscow, Dubosekovo, Rzhev, Vyazma, Smolensk and Minsk.

 

The ceremony of transferring the Banner-record holder for eternal storage to the Memorial Complex “Brest Hero-Fortress” was held, where it will symbolize the brotherhood of the people who won the war.

 

Participants will be able to transfer the accumulated knowledge and methods of conducting projects to preserve historical memory to their peers and younger schoolchildren in schools and universities, as well as continue to engage in project activities in the direction of patriotism, returning to their native states.

Bahodirjon Anvarzhonov noted that he was very glad to take part in the "Unconquered" project and become part of a large-scale patriotic event.

International project "Unconquered" is being implemented by International Lomonosov Club with the support of Presidential Grants Foundation, Federal Agency for Nationalities, Russian Foreign Ministry and Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.
